**DUTIES**: Under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Planner (SEP), the incumbent will function as an Associate Environmental Planner (AEP) within the Division of Land Resource Protection (DLRP). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the most complex or difficult grants in the Division’s Transformative Climate Communities Program (TCC) are implemented in accordance with State environmental, social, and economic planning objectives, as well as program design, program implementation and monitoring, environmental policy research, and strategic planning for DLRP.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet Minimum Qualifications, the applicant will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Working Conditions

This position is located in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must reside in California and be able to satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. The hybrid telework schedule will allow for up to three days of remote work per week depending on department needs.
