**Duties**:

- Assures Agency-wide production for Business Units by providing corrective and preventative maintenance services.
- Makes recommendations to the Chief of the Building Department regarding best ways of meeting all assigned tasks.
- Operates and maintains all utilities and distribution systems.
- Supports installation, maintenance, and repair of automated machinery in an industrial setting.
- Coordinates with the Chief of Planning and Scheduling on both in-house and contract work.
- Assists with the acquisition of project materials, monitoring work, and monitoring planned verses estimated expenses and work orders.
- Supervises seven Branch Chiefs and three Supervisory Operations Specialists who oversee Facilities Management’s Operations Center.
- Synchronizes and directs the work of the Facility Division through assigned supervisor.

**Qualifications**:
**To qualify for the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, PG -1640-14, you must meet the following requirements**:
Have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level PG-13. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: 1. experience in the private or public sector simultaneously planning, organizing, leading, and/or controlling assigned projects. 2. Determining the organization structure, identifying roles and positions, and staffing project positions with available personnel. 3. Leading the project plan to achieve the project objectives and keeping the project on track by measuring progress, evaluating causes of deviations from the plan and taking corrective action to bring the project on schedule.
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
