The City of Phoenix Police Department is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and talented individual for the vacant Police Aircraft Technician position at Deer Valley Airport. Police Aircraft Technicians performs fleet maintenance on helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and specialized equipment. The fleet consists of Airbus AS350B3, Agusta A109e model helicopters, and Pilatus PC-12 model airplanes. Responsibilities include maintaining helicopter/fixed-wing aircraft and keeping current with industry standards by proactive and ongoing training.

Work hours: Monday - Friday 0630 - 1500 or Tuesday - Friday 0630 - 1630 or Monday - Thursday 0630 -1630.

Work location: Deer Valley Airport, 102 E. Deer Valley Road., Phoenix, AZ 85024

**SALARY**:
Pay Range: $26.18 to 40.61 per hour.

Hiring Range: $26.18 to $35.08 per hour.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Three years of experience within the past five years maintaining helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
- Have a complete set of standard and metric aircraft mechanics tools by the time of hire.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Attend training, out of state, if necessary for periods of up to three weeks.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs short and long distances.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

- Have a complete set of standard and metric aircraft mechanics tools by the time of hire.
- Have current airframe and power plant mechanic experience within the last 6 months.
- Experience maintaining Pilatus PC-12 NG aircraft.
- Three years' experience maintaining Airbus AS350B3 helicopters, performing 150 hr., 150 hr. / 12 month, 750 hr. and 750 hr. / 12-month inspections.
