Overview:
Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy in delivering exceptional patient care. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will assist pharmacists in providing medication and other healthcare products to patients.

**Duties**:

- Prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
- Process insurance claims and assist with billing issues
- Provide quality customer service to patients by assisting with inquiries and ensuring their needs are met
- Utilize medical terminology and aseptic techniques to handle medications safely
- Assist in the preparation of IV infusions and other sterile products
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Preparing and customizing medications according to doctor's prescriptions using non-sterile techniques. This may involve mixing ingredients, measuring doses, and dividing medications
- Following strict guidelines set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 795 and 800 for non-sterile compounding
- Ensuring the accuracy of measurements and calculations
- Labeling and packaging compounded medications

**Requirements**:

- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or in the process of obtaining certification
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, procedures, and regulations
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a pharmacy environment
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with patient care in various settings including critical care and acute care
- Proficiency in aseptic technique for sterile compounding
- Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare professionals
- Experience with IV infusion preparation and administration

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
