**Your role in action**:

- Plans and implements program objectives in accordance with agency policies, plans, and procedures.
- Supervises Peers living with a mental health condition.
- Serves on committees and attend meetings with other mental health providers and community leaders, as appropriate.
- Remains up to date on best practices and research on mental health issues, particularly as they relate to peer support programs and services.
- Serves as a presenter at community events, staff trainings, NAMI conferences, etc.
- Sustains and increases capacity for activities and services for individuals with mental illness.
- Participates in community events pertaining to mental health, including health fairs.
- Assists in development of grants for the program.
- Assists in management of program and grant budgets.
- Ensures deliverables for each grant.
- Amenable to program support and direction from supervisor.
- Attends and participates in monthly all-staff meetings, monthly program leader meetings, fundraising events, and other events.
- Monitors staffing patterns of the program, ensuring that positions are posted within agency guidelines.
- Ensures ongoing supervision and evaluation of program staff performance to facilitate optimal performance.
- Responsible for compliance with contract and agency mandatory training requirements.
- Serves as a liaison in communication relevant information between administration and program/unit staff via verbal and/or written communication, as well as external agencies/facilities specific to the operating unit.
- Works collaboratively with agency staff to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Communicates directly with unit managers and individuals responsible for peers serving in their programs.
- Acts as a role model, educator, mentor, or counselor for respective peer group. Deals with conflict resolution, problem solving and providing guidance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**What qualifications you will need**:
**Education**:

- Master’s Degree or equivalent, required.

**Experience**:

- At least 5 years management experience. This experience should include management of staff, training of staff and the ability to motivate staff while preserving high morale. Supervision of professional staff.
- Lived experience preferred.

**Other Key Qualifications**:

- Maintain LPHA License/credentials with appropriate state licensure regulatory board.
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) required within 3 months of employment.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to effectively lead others in achieving organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to others and construct clear and concise written communication.
- Ability to identify and offer solutions to resolve problems, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources.
- Ability to relate effectively with individuals, community members, and staff of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and communication styles.
- Must possess good problem-solving skills, be resourceful and take initiative when needed.
- Must have a commitment to recovery, choice, empowerment, and the ability of people with serious mental illness and their family members on the road to recovery.
- Excellent listening and reflective listening skills
- Able to utilize basic Word and Excel documents.
