**Graff Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram of** Rockford is looking for a qualified **Automotive Dealership Finance and Insurance (F & I) Manager** to oversee our finance department.

As a finance professional, you will work directly with customers and be responsible for helping them obtain the financing they need to purchase the vehicle they want while increasing the dealership’s profitability through customer purchase of extended service contracts, gap insurance, and other vehicle add ons like paint and fabric protection.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Maintain proficiency and certifications for the position and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sales and finance departments.
- Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Graff Employee Manual and other corporate policies.
- Desk deals, work with lenders to obtain financing approval, and complete all vehicle purchase & associated paperwork accurately and on time.
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner while showing compassion for the financial concerns of customers.
- Make credit decisions and effectively close deals.
- Verify the accuracy of all title, lien information, taxes, and other documents on customer paperwork.
- Ensure accuracy of customer information in dealership data bases by updating regularly.
- Provide customers with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties.
- Provide exceptional customer service for all customers while helping them choose products that protect their vehicle purchase and ensure the highest profitability for the dealership.
- Ensure collection of all finance and insurance fees.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and work space.
- Continually provide sales department with current information about finance and lease programs.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with sales and office staff.
- Work cooperatively with sales and office staff for the greater benefit of the team and, ultimately, the customer.
- Assist sales team with customer engagement in the sales department during peak traffic times.
- Train the sales staff regarding the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
- Work with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
- Coordinate finance forecasting with sales department forecasting to achieve desired levels of penetration and income.
- Present forecast at yearly company meeting.
- Works closely with general sales manager to establish sales department goals and objectives and ensures that they are achieved.
- Develop and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Be prepared and regularly attend manager meetings
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all sources of finance and insurance products—factory and otherwise.
- Continually seek new lending institutions to secure competitive interest rates and finance programs.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid Michigan Driver’s License
- College degree (Associates) in finance or related field or commiserate experience
- Experience in automotive finance _preferred_
- Experience in the finance department at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealership _preferred_

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as needed.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
