Curriculum Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct classroom observations, create professional development goals/plans, provide strategies for the staff to implement, follow up on completion of professional development understanding. Compile notes for recognition/ further development and provide FTA Site Directors with qualitative data for staff performance evaluations.
- Analyzing Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment data results to develop and monitor intervention plans for teachers to implement for each child/classroom scoring below.
- Maintain a log and documentation of screenings for each FTA center and student.
- Implements training and supervision of all student assessment programs.
- Assists with the recording of classroom performance data involving pre and post testing.
- Makes recommendations for improvements based on analysis of the data.
- Works with teachers and parents to problem solve strategies for children with additional needs or resources to support student achievement.
- Performs ELLM coaching activities within the classroom settings serving as a model for teachers.
- Facilitates appropriate staff development opportunities in conjunction with Director of Operations.
- Utilizes staff input to improve instructional and professional effectiveness.
- Assists staff with completing tasks as needed or requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Significant teaching experience
- Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Certified Reliable Observer
- Experience in early childhood accreditation process
