Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes appropriate labels.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Routes items to departments.

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Monitors inventory of shipping materials and supplies and notifies purchasing when supplies are needed.

Operates lift truck, overhead crane or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area, or onto trucks.

Operates metal forming machines as needed.

Keeps production area clean, observes and follows all safety rules.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
