Puppy Trainer

Love in the Lead Canine Training, LLC is a Charlotte, NC based dog training company that specializes in puppy training, advanced off-leash obedience, behavior modification, and service dog training.

**We are in need of a full time Puppy Trainer** This position works out of a home environment and our training center, so you would NOT be required to house puppies in your home

**Job Requirements**:
Must be physically capable, comfortable, and confident handling and training puppies 8 weeks-6 months of age.

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (exercising, grooming, and relieving dogs outdoors).

Must be able to follow directions, be detail oriented and have excellent communciation skills.

Must be comfortable taking puppies to public places for socialization.

Must be able to work independently and in a group setting.

**Responsibilities include**:
General care of 8-10 puppies (feeding, watering, relieving).

Exercising small playgroups in both indoor/outdoor play areas.

Provide weekly grooming (bathing, ear cleaning, nail trims).

Provide daily basic obedience training.

Provide socialization trips to local pet friendly stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Bass Pro Shops, WWC, etc).

Transportation of puppies to public places for socialization/training and to our training center in NW Charlotte for team training sessions.

Light cleaning of the puppy room and home as needed.

**Schedule & Pay**:
Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm and occasional Saturdays (as needed)
- *40-50 hours per week_

This is a salaried position, so weekly hours may vary but will be no more than 50 hours per week.
