Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Manager in Newark, NJ, US we’re looking for?

**Your future role**

We’ll look to you for:

- Overseeing safe operating procedures for the Newark AirTran,
- Auditing procedures, processes, documentation, and employees for compliance with internal and external requirements,
- Monitoring, auditing, and reviewing safety procedures, as well as creating and conducting safety training for employees, contractors, vendors, and Port Authority Personnel,
- Collaborating with the engineering department in the testing of systems and components to evaluate and minimize future problems from a safety perspective, and preparing safety reports for the customer on incidents within the AirTran System,
- Performing job hazard analysis and developing safe work procedures related to job tasks, equipment, tools, and special projects,
- Investigating accidents/incidents/near misses, reporting fully, and collaborating with the engineering department to develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or other relevant degree,
- Experience or understanding of system safety or HSE in a hands-on capacity,
- Strategic outlook and alignment with company safety and business goals,
- Ability to perform job hazard analysis and develop safe work procedures,
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Ability to work on call 24/7/365
