Business Systems Analyst, Technology Operations

The Business Systems Analyst, Technology Operations will support the Technology Operations team by enabling operations and service fulfillment to administrative IT customers. The Business Systems Analyst will conduct customer research and collaborate with key stakeholders across UCLA to gather business requirements and help translate them into functional and technical requirements to be utilized across all Technology Operations product teams. They will conduct analyses, create process models, document requirements, and work to ensure that the solutions developed meet the desired business outcomes. Using various analytical tools and methodologies, they will identify trends and opportunities that can drive innovation and efficiency in UCLA's technological offerings. In addition, they will contribute to the strategic planning process by providing insights and data-driven recommendations to help shape the university's IT roadmap. This role will also support the product team's delivery and sustainment of an excellent end-to-end customer experience.-
**Salary & Compensation**
- UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. **Qualifications**
- Three years experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, management, higher education, higher education auxiliary services, technology operations services. (required)
- Experience conducting or facilitating requirement-gathering interviews or sessions. Experience utilizing analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making. (required)
- Five or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, management, higher education, higher education auxiliary services, technology operations services. (preferred)
- Experience in complex higher education environments,serving academic and administrative functions of a largepublic university. (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to identify key issues critical to the organization's need and the success of a desired product, service, and enhancement. (required)
- Proven record of delivering end-to-end, user-centered products by considering stakeholder requirements, user research, market analysis, data, customer feedback, and technical constraints or opportunities. (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders. (required)
- Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers. (required)
- Strong organizational skills and is able to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects. Ability to work in a project-based environment using project management practices. (required)
- Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills; scopes solutions based on knowledge of available resources and timelines. Able to ask questions, gather information, evaluate options, and make decisions with integrity. (required)

**Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations**
- Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, public administration, business administration, communications or a related field. (required)

- PMP Certification Within the last four years (preferred)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Within the last four years (preferred)
**Special Conditions for Employment**
- This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
The anticipated pay range for this position is $103,500-$115,000, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
