**Introduction**:
**_ The annual salary_** for this classification is as high as **$91,420.49 **at the top of the range, with an** additional 4% **approved **Cost of Living Adjustment** effective** January 1, 2025.**

**Position Description and Duties**:

- The intent of this job specification is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description._
- Explains business license procedures and requirements to the public by phone or in person to ensure City policies and procedures are properly followed.
- Collects fees and other monies for various City services. Maintains records, and reconciles payments by entering payment data into the City bank account.
- Compiles data and creates reports for petty cash.
- Investigates verbal and written complaints and makes recommendations on resolving these to supervisor. Issues citations to individuals for non-compliance to business license codes, ordinances, or regulations.
- Coordinates work with other departments and agencies involved in licensing functions.
- Performs related work as required.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Required Education and Experience**
- High School diploma or GED equivalent. At least two years of relevant college-level course work. An Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting is highly desirable.
- One (1) to three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience demonstrating possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
**Desirable Qualifications** include experience with collections and/or knowledge of tax laws, fees, and regulations are highly desirable.
**Required Licenses or Certifications**
- Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside of Richmond to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, maintenance of a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement**:

**Employment Eligibility List**: A ranking of "A" (Best Qualified), "B" (Well Qualified), or "C" (Qualified) is required to achieve a position on the Employment Eligibility List.
