**About the Position**
Probation Aides, working under the supervision of Probation Managers or Officers, follow pre-established and repetitive research methods as well as involve data collection methods to organize information into a predefined form for report preparation and analysis by professional probation staff. Duties also include contacting other agencies to verify, gather, exchange and update data.
- Demonstrates a high degree of motivation and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrates the ability to compile, calculate and summarize data.
- Possesses keen organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Communicates effectively and is detail-oriented.

**Education and/or Experience** **Required**
1. Two (2) years of full-time, paid experience performing paraprofessional or difficult and complex clerical work independently (e.g., Senior Office Assistant, Human Services Specialist, Revenue and Recovery Officer, Records Clerk, Patient Services Specialist);
**OR,**
2. One (1) year of the experience described above AND an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency (preferably in business administration, accounting, mathematics or a related field).

- The Background Process begins shortly after interviews are completed.
