The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County, Inc. strives to ensure that children and their families have access to high-quality, affordable early learning programs and services in our community. We are a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building a community-wide commitment to ensure every child is ready to succeed in school and life through comprehensive, high-quality early learning environments.
**SUMMARY**:
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assessment and monitoring services to childcare providers participating in the Early Head Start (EHS) Child Care Partnership Grant. The duties for the Quality Assurance Specialist require managing and providing oversight of the monitoring and tracking activities conducted within the EHS Program to meet compliance mandates defined by the Head Start Performance Standards, State of Florida Child Care Licensing, School Readiness, and local regulations. Participates in Early Head Start Quality Assurance efforts.
**HOURS**:
This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Port location are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekends may be necessary on occasion.
**PAY RATE**:$20-$24 per hour commensurate with experience
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Conducts follow-up visits as required for Quality Improvement Plans.
- Conducts consistent desk reviews in the monitoring of Early Head Start providers and of the overall program.
- Supports in health and safety, the collection of health-related documents, and input into the designated system.
- Monitors the quality and compliance of education files, licensing requirements, referral systems for families and children, disabilities, health, nutrition, curriculum implementation, mental health, provision of social services, and ERSEA systems.
- Meets with EHS administrative team to keep them abreast of the compliance outcomes and/or new developments in state, regional and national levels concerning the Early Head Start program.
- Generates and analyzes reports to implement strategies for continuous quality improvements.
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or in a Public Health, Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Health or related field.
- Knowledge of local licensing for Family Child Care Homes and Facilities and Health and Safety practices.
- Relevant knowledge of Head Start Program operations, inspections in early learning environments, and auditing.
- Experience with implementation of Corrective Action Plans and follow-up, knowledgeable of relevant federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of one-year experience in health, child development or a related field, two years preferred.
