**Job Description**:
The Business Administrator I, under general supervision, manages the full range of business activities including reviewing and approving business documents and developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts, budgets and other quantitative data.

**Responsibilities**:
- Serves as a liaison between faculty and SRS to assist with managing budgets, expenditures, beginning and closing dates. Serves as a resource to principal investigators as they prepare new proposals. Reviews budgets to help ensure the best utilization of funds awarded.- Serve as a liaison with Texas A&M AgriLife and other System financial offices.- Tuition/Fees and Scholarships - Oversees timelines and reports for tuition payments. Maintains detailed reports of all tuition related transactions. Determines in-state eligibility and initiate waivers and payments. Coordinates international student compliance with respect to tuition and waivers. Responds to issues that arise concerning job titles and eligibility for payments and waivers. Monitors scholarship and fellowship payments and compliance. Works in cooperation with the Registrar’s Office to facilitate registration and payment.- Approves and prepares transfers from Texas A&M Foundation, monitors Texas A&M Foundation account activities.- Participates in the hiring of subordinate business office staff, as well as the training of both staff and student workers on new and existing business procedures. Assists in the interpretation of policies and regulations for staff. May serve as office manager in the absence of the Senior Business Administrator- Serve as a liaison with Texas A&M AgriLife and other System financial offices.- Assists Senior Business Administrator with coordination of fiscal activities, including the development, monitoring, and reporting of budget activity, cash handling, as well as coordination of annual fiscal year closing activities and drafting new fiscal year plans. Proposes solutions to complex financial problems.- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Five years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Interpersonal and communication skills.- Planning and organizational skills.- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
