Reporting to the Store Manager, these new hires will work in our Thrift Store located in Rockville, MD.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Retail Associate will be primarily responsible for working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions. The Retail / Production Associate will also be responsible for sorting and preparing merchandise for sale on the retail floor, housekeeping and safety, loss prevention in adherence to all company and Store policies/ standards. They should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Must have evening and weekend availability.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Sorts and prepares merchandise for shipment to the sales floor; assist in stock rotation and maintaining racks in an organized and presentable manner
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss the available options
- Handle cash, credit or check transactions with the customer
- Maintains merchandising standards through product replenishment, display maintenance, colorization, sizing and inventory classification
- Other responsibilities may be assign

**Requirements**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- High School Diploma
- At least 6 months of retail/customer service experience preferred
- Demonstrate consistent, positive behavior with internal and external customers
- Seeing the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, inventory, and other resources.
- Ability to present a positive public image for the betterment of Planet Aid
