The Quality Assurance Specialist - Professional Coding is responsible for conducting audits of coding staff to ensure the highest coding quality standards are upheld, and that policies, procedures and protocols are followed appropriately. This position will provide feedback and education to coding leaders and staff based on audits completed.

**Requirements and Responsibilities**
- Coding certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P or RHIT).
- High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
- Requires 5 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician practice, coding multiple medical/surgical specialties/subspecialties.
- Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
- Advanced knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines, payer and governmental policies.
- Working knowledge of CCI edits, healthcare insurance guidelines and other regulatory guidance.
- Prior use of an Electronic Health Record.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment and decision making.
- Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.
- Remote work (home).
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Epic Experience preferred.

This is a 100% remote position with no travel to Milwaukee required.
