**Position Summary**

Assures all relevant quality assurance documents are current and up to date. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, improving the effectiveness of the Quality Management System to serve the business better.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
- Ensures all supplier documents are current and up to date and updates any supplier information as necessary.
- Reviews all Production and Bottling CCPs are met and adhered to.
- Review all documents associated with SSOP pre-op, daily sanitation, and Master sanitation Logs.
- Reviews and verifies that all changeover logs, pack-out and bottling inspections, online inspections, and calibrations are completed accurately.
- Update product release log once all reviews are complete.
- Reviews and verifies all Thermometer, scale, and PH meter calibrations.
- Sends and maintains log for all Corrective actions.
- Assist with SQF prep where needed for supplier program updates, hold program dispositions, and any other items as requested.
- Must be able to cover all Quality Control Technician duties.
- Supports the QC techs and Lab techs whenever needed.
- Performs other tasks delegated by the Quality Manager
- Report any food safety problems to the SQF Practitioner or Department Supervisor in a timely manner so that corrective actions may be performed.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

**Job Qualifications**

**Education**: A high school diploma is required. HACCP certification is also required (but can be obtained on the job).

**Experience**: 1-2 years QC or/and food industry experience (preferred but not required).

**Knowledge**: What does the person in this role need to know? Active Forklift Certification is required.

**Other Skills**:

- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Must have strong critical thinking skills.
- Must adapt to constant changes and work independently with moderate supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to multi-task.

**Other Abilities**: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines. Ability to comprehend quality systems in preparation for audits.

**Working and Environmental Conditions**

Working in a warehouse, cold environment with temperatures below 40°F. Work areas may be loud and confined spaces. Will require continuous exposure to noisy environments >85 dBa. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities will require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, holidays, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines and production needs.

**Physical Demands**

Ability to stand for long periods. Sit, bend, and climb in narrow areas or upstairs or ladders. Requires time in front of a computer screen for extended periods. Occasional lifting of equipment that may weigh up to 20 lbs. Ability to work at heights.

**Compensation**

$20 - $24/HR DOE
