- The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community.- Reporting to the DACCO of the Child Welfare Contracts unit, the ADACCO’s duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supervise a team of procurement professionals responsible for processing human service procurement contracts.
- Ensure the procurement staff adhere to all applicable rules and policies ensuring the integrity of the procurement process.
- Prepare, review, and evaluate solicitation documents to ensure conformity to agency requirements and citywide standards.
- Assist in overseeing and managing the unit’s processing of procurement activities such as Pre-Solicitation Review, Recommendation for Award, Responsibility Determination, and other procurement related processes as required in NYC PASSPort.
- Reflect a strong customer service ethos, providing technical assistance and timely status reports to divisional staff and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of program evaluations of vendor performance in NYC PASSPort.
- Track and report the status of all procurement actions as required.
- Carry out all procurement activities in full compliance of NYC PPB Rules and Laws and in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors, program staff, fiscal staff, and agency oversights to address any procurement related issues.
- Identify and implement quality improvement actions to maximize accuracy and minimize time.
- Assist in coordinating the Competitive Requests for Proposals process as needed.
- Perform special projects and related work as required.
