At RK&K, we are seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our Natural Resources Team in Austin. As an RK&K environmental scientist you will be actively involved in a wide range of natural resource surveys and investigations (vegetation, habitat assessments, protected species, waters/wetland/stream assessments, water quality permitting).

**Essential Function**
- Conduct field investigations and surveys
- Prepare documents and natural resource reports
- Conduct/assist in wetland and stream delineations, protected species surveys and habitat assessment, and other natural resource inventories
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with other environmental professionals

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years relevant environmental science experience
- Broad knowledge of Texas native species and natural resources
- Team-oriented
- Adept at juggling multiple tasks
- Excellent at written and verbal communication
- Motivated to find creative solutions to environmental problems
- Excited to work outdoors in all seasons
- Experience with GIS (ArcPRO)
- Applications must include a cover letter and resume

**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Master's Degree in environmental science, biology or equivalent
- Natural Resources experience in Texas
- Plant identification, wetland delineation training, TxDOT precertification, and GIS experience
- CPR/First Aid training
