Plant Prefab is the first Certified B Corporation building technology company dedicated to sustainable design, materials, and operations. The company’s patented Plant Building System utilizes advanced digital modeling and fully customizable Plant Panels and Plant Modules to help architects, developers, general contractors, and individuals design and build multifamily and custom single-family homes 20 to 50 percent faster than site-based methods. The system provides better quality control, design flexibility, and time, cost, and material efficiency than traditional methods of offsite or on-site construction. Plant opened a $40M, 270,000 square foot facility which can produce 3-5 million square feet of single and multifamily housing a year. It is the first automated factory in the US purpose built to create both panels and modules.

**Job Summary**:
**Core Responsibilities**:

- Financial Management:

- Manage all accounting functions including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support inventory management, cost analysis, manufacturing, and budgeting processes.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, banking and financial institutions, as well as regulatory agencies.
- Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with GAAP and local statutory requirements in financial reporting and tax filings.
- Coordinate external audits and tax reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Establish and maintain processes for multi-state reporting and payroll compliance, ensuring adherence to state-specific regulations and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support financial transactions and audits.
- Financial Analysis and Strategic Guidance:

- Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to senior management to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Conduct financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

**Requirements**:
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- 7+ years of professional experience ideally gained through a combination of public accounting and industry accounting experience
- CPA is strongly preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in a scaling company with multiple locations, advanced product design and product manufacturing processes (automation, robotics, etc.)
- Experience in a company with $100M+ in revenues, and experience in supporting a company through a period of growth/expansion
- Significant experience with General Ledger Accounting, Project Accounting, FP&A, Financial Reporting, and staff management in a medium to large-sized complex organization.
- Experience implementing, upgrading, or improving the utilization of ERP packages
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically, working effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, articulating an understanding of the business through the numbers.
- Proven accounting knowledge of standards, processes, reporting and systems; and experience in developing and improving reporting.
- Willing to “role up his/her sleeves”, operate at any level (from senior management to the lowest level of the organization), and do whatever it takes to insure the successful execution and growth of the business. Ability to build, lead, manage and motivate a professional staff and strive for improvement and learning while delegating and developing a strong supporting team.
