**Job Overview**:
House Leaders/Administrator-in-Training (AIT) are responsible for ensuring the rhythms and routines of the home they are overseeing. With training and completion of the Administrator Class, and passing the Administrator Exam, they can become the “Backup Administrator.”

Carefully planned and thoroughly thought-out daily/weekly schedules are important so that proper delegation occurs for all the tasks and requests of our resident Core Members are fulfilled as best as possible. The House Leader works closely with their fellow Assistants to ensure that their home is welcoming, structured, clean, and filled with the vibrancy of relationships. The House Leader also ensures that all responsibilities that deal with paperwork for compliance with RCOC and Licensing regulations are fulfilled. The House Leader is the main point of contact for the families of the Core Members of the household they are leading.

**General Program Overview**:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team, to provide care and oversight of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), living in our two residential homes located in Orange and Tustin.

Prior experience as a Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Direct Care Staff, Job coach, Direct Support Professional or similar experience caring for your own loved one would be ideal.

Our Adults with IDD are not viewed as clients, patients, or recipients of services, but rather they are friends, teachers, companions, and referred to as Core Members within the community.

**Schedule**:
The House Leader/Administrator in Training will be regularly scheduled for 40 hours per week, for a planned 9am-5pm type shift, but will be expected to cover other alternative shifts, days and times when staff call in sick or are out on planned vacations, so flexibility and availability is key for this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administrative duties include updating daily house notes, making Core Member chart entries, occasional grocery purchases, making and following up on medical appointments and assisting in the physical preparation of the facility and documents for State inspections and evaluations.
- Provide direct support to Core Members through meeting personal care needs, including maintaining daily routines, performing cooking and cleaning together, managing medication, attending doctor appointments and ensuring their overall safety and well-being.
- Support Core Members in the development and maintenance of their relationships with housemates, Core Members' families, community members, and friends outside.
- Encourage healthy lifestyles, driving Core Members to events, planning fun activities, and fostering a spiritually fulfilling and relationship-oriented lifestyle.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- At least 21 years old with a GED / High School Diploma.
- A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal record/Department of Justice background check (LiveScan).
- Ability to pass basic pre-employment physical and have negative TB test.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and do up to 8 hours of daily standing, bending, and lifting.

**Preferred Experience/Trainings**:

- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of caregiving (prior caregiving experience as either a Direct Care Staff, Home Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Job Coach, Direct Support Professional or personal care for a family member would be great.)

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
