Independent, upscale retail chain seeks an _**experienced **_full-time Assistant Buyer for our Women’s Departments, featuring clothing, footwear, bags, accessories and gifts. We're a fun string of boutiques with a friendly company culture. Come join our team

**Responsibilities include**:

- Partner with the buying team
- Assist the shoe, clothing and accessory buyers with merchandise selection; place orders; replenish merchandise
- Assist buyers with all aspects of the OTB
- Communicate, negotiate and maintain relationships with vendors
- Examine selling reports and generate re-orders and requests for RA's and RTV's
- Research and produce inventory and selling reports
- Maintain and update product merchandise books
- Attend trade shows and buying appointments
- Communicate with stores on product knowledge and respond to their merchandise requests
- Data entry in our retail software program
- Assist store associates as needed during busy sales seasons
- Social Media responsibilities include updating and maintaining all platforms of social media
- Web site involvement to include photography, file creation and uploading of new product files
- Assist warehouse in receipts and website shipments when necessary

**Qualifications**:

- **Must** **have at least 2 years women's apparel and/or retail buying experience.**
- Applicant must have strong analytical and data entry skills; social media job experience is a plus
- We will teach you our retail computer system but you **must** be computer literate on a PC and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with Pivot tables preferred.
- Bachelors degree required
- Fashion Sales/ Merchandising graduates preferred.

- be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident or an alien authorized to work.
- must be willing to work additional hours as needed during busy sales seasons
- be a team player, be hard working and trustworthy
