**OVERVIEW**

The Level 1 PRS Case Manager plays a critical role in providing essential support and services to unaccompanied children and their sponsors. This position requires a high-level of technical and professional expertise to provide essential support and advocacy in ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Key responsibilities include conducting routine calls with sponsors and children to coordinate services and assess safety. This position will report to the PRS Supervisor.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct routine calls with sponsor and child to help coordinate services and assess safety.
- Conduct outreach with local community agencies to identify appropriate community resources for clients, ensuring they are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
- Assist sponsor and child (through telephonic support) to facilitate school enrollment and access to community resources, as needed.
- Provide ongoing administrative support to program supervisors.
- Maintain a high standard of record-keeping according to Applied Intellect and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies and procedures.
- Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each child receives the services they require.
- Must be comfortable assessing children?s needs through phone/video calls to conduct interviews with the sponsor, family or child and home visits (as applicable).
- Request a change in the child?s service level if child is determined to need elevated care/services.
- Discuss cases with supervisor timely to report any concerns with the placement or safety of the child.
- Build a network of local resources and service providers to facilitate access for children and sponsor and track individual progress.
- Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements.
- Must maintain confidentiality in all program areas including information regarding youth.
- Participate in regular training and communication sessions utilizing Teams, Zoom or other platforms required for meeting with peers, supervisor, and headquarters staff.
- Submit case notes, assessments and reports timely as required by ORR and Applied Intellect using ORR?s documentation software and Applied Intellect?s internal software system used for case monitoring, maintenance, and storage.
- Display professional conduct and ensure respectful interactions during any contact with children, sponsors, coworkers, supervisors, ORR representatives, and other vendors or community members.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children or a bachelor?s degree in social work, International Studies, or a related humanitarian field is preferred.
- Experience with immigrant populations, child welfare, child placements, family preservation and social service provision is desired.
- Must possess an extensive knowledge of immigrant community local resources.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams for maintaining contact with supervisor, coworkers, and to complete daily tasks.
- Ability to type and be computer literate. Comfortable with using a tablet/iPad, or laptop to complete daily assignments.
- Fluency in Spanish is required, proficiency in additional languages a plus.
- Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification.

**TRAINING REQUIREMENTS**
- Satisfactory completion of Applied Intellect?s Orientation and Training.
- Satisfactory completion of ORR required training prior to serving children and sponsors.
- Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying; and
- Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
