**Job Summary**

The Medical Coordinator is responsible for assessing, facilitating, and monitoring all components of the unaccompanied children’s medical needs. This includes scheduling medical and dental appointments, responding to emergency medical needs, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Coordinator will participate in weekly staff meetings, ongoing training, and stakeholders’ meetings to ensure high-quality care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Schedule and comply with required medical and dental appointments in accordance with ORR guidelines.
- Respond promptly to individual emergency medical needs.
- Obtain, compile, and maintain a medical file for each admission.
- Ensure proper daily documentation in the UC portal and maintain hard copies of required documents and medical records.
- Collect, maintain, and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality guidelines in compliance with ORR and State regulations.
- Submit Significant Incident Reports regarding medical issues in a timely manner.
- Schedule and provide transportation for clients to medical and dental appointments.
- Ensure the program complies with all Federal, State, and HIPAA regulations.
- Attend team meetings, staff reviews, and required training.
- Adhere to State, County regulations, and Agency policies and procedures.
- Comply with Child Abuse Reporting requirements.
- Complete tasks and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, work quality, or customer service satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication, leadership, and guidance skills.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from program directors, lead case managers, lead clinicians, clients, and stakeholders.

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited or state-approved college or university.
- 2 years of experience working in the medical field, predominantly with Latino children and families.
- Case management experience is necessary.

**Salary**
- $74,400 yearly

**Note**

This is an exempt position. Exempt employees are not eligible for overtime pay and are expected to work the hours necessary to complete their assigned duties, regardless of the number of hours worked.

Pay: $74,400.00 per year
