**Job Summary**:
As a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) for FedVet Construction on Army Corps of Engineers projects, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all project activities comply with the safety and health requirements set forth in EM 385-1-1. You will work closely with project management teams to implement and enforce comprehensive safety programs, conduct safety training, and oversee all aspects of workplace safety on the job site.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement, enforce, and continuously monitor compliance with the Army Corps of Engineers' safety and health requirements as per EM 385-1-1.
- Develop and maintain the Accident Prevention Program (APP) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for each project phase.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety orientation, training, and ongoing education for all project personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, reporting findings to project management and recommending improvements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and external agencies to ensure comprehensive site safety and compliance with federal regulations.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming safety regulations and best practices in construction safety.
- Provide daily report information pertaining to safety.

Salary Range $95,000-$100,000

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SSHO, preferably on Army Corps of Engineers projects or similar federal construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of EM 385-1-1 regulations and guidelines.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety training programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage safety programs across multiple project sites.
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
- Current EM385-1-1 Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
