**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
This person is responsible for leading operations strategy in the facility. Must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect safety, part quality, production efficiency, continuous improvement, etc. The Operations Manager will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.
Additional Position Description
1. Manages the manufacturing process of the braking products produced in the facility.
2. Establishes and maintains systems to drive 5S, labor utilization and equipment availability improvements continually
3. Ensures all production employees are aligned and tracked to the same targets for 5S, OEE and labor productivity
4. Provides leadership for production areas and the team members
5. Drives operations to ensure productivity, delivery, quality, safety, and budget goals are achieved.
6. Establishes strong and effective working relationships that are conducive to maintaining a positive work environment.
7. Partners with departmental leaders: HSE, Quality, Engineering, Materials and Human Resources to achieve or exceed facility goals.
8. Drives accountability through the use of tools and other methods to track performance.
9. Teaches others Lean Manufacturing methods and then implements changes with positive results.
10. Evaluates departmental constraints and implements Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve capacities.
11. Works closely with Engineering to define and implement cost-effective continuous improvement projects.
12. Understands and applies policies consistently and fairly to team members.
13. Promotes and drives the organizations vision and utilization of our Production System (Lean Manufacturing) methodologies.
14. Champions change and facilitates team related functions to improve the business performance.
15. Uses problem solving methods and innovation to drive continuous improvement.
16. Ensures all autonomous maintenance activities are defined, executed and effective to eliminate equipment brake downs from lack of operator maintenance
17. Works closely with team members across departments to establish priorities ensuring on-time shipments to customers, meeting quality expectations, and other activities as needed.
18. Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to safety, health, and environmental concerns.

19. Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to product quality.
20. Provide management reporting and escalation to summarize performance of the production teams
21. Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
