**Basic Requirements**:
**A. **Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
- **OR**
- **IN ADDITION to the basic qualification requirements above, an applicant must meet the criteria below**:
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of the specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience using SQL to clean, parse, and structure datasets and databases; experience working with stakeholders regarding data preparation methods such as exploratory data analysis, model creation, data visualization, etc.; and experience using Tableau to create data visualizations.- The qualification requirements in this vacancy announcement are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook.
