Energy Management System Manager

**Pay Rate**:$120,000-$14,000 annually. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

**Responsibilities**:
- **System Management**:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of EMS and BMS systems in educational facilities.
- Ensure proper functionality, monitoring, and control of HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems.
- Implement system upgrades, software updates, and integrations to enhance performance and efficiency.
- **Energy Efficiency**:
- Develop and implement energy conservation strategies to reduce consumption and lower utility costs.
- Analyze system data, trends, and energy usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on EMS/BMS equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions, alarms, and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with technicians and vendors for repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to EMS/BMS operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and energy savings.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as necessary.
- **Team Leadership and Training**:
- Lead a team of EMS/BMS technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure proficiency and adherence to protocols.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation, energy management, or facility operations, with a focus on EMS/BMS systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.) and software platforms (Tridium Niagara, Siemens Desigo, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects.
- Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Building Automation System Engineer (BASE) are a plus.
