Human Resources Assistant:
Serenity Home Healthcare is a growing home care company in the greater Chicagoland area. We are looking for a conscientious and focused Human Resources Assistant to own the recruiting functions and some onboarding tasks. The person in this role will be the first point of contact for any incoming administrative employees and should have some experience in recruiting, a positive and friendly personality, and an overall interest in learning more in the field of Human Resources. Some additional administrative tasks supporting broader HR functions may be assigned, as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and properly filed.
- Provides clerical support to the administrative management and office manager.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation for employees.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level staff or management.
- Conducts phone screens, coordinates and participates in in-person interviews, and assists with new hire orientation.
- Serves as a support to management for employee complaints and employee discipline issues.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
