**About Us**

Safe Sports Network (SSN) is a major program of the New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute (NHMI) and was founded more than 30 years ago to close a gap in athletic health care for high school athletes in the Manchester, NH area community. SSN now provides athletic training services to several high schools throughout southern NH.

The staff is comprised of secondary school athletic trainers who work under the direction of Medical Director, Greg Soghikian, MD. SSN strives to remain cutting edge and continue offering comprehensive athletic healthcare services. SSN also engages in inter-professional collaboration with other community healthcare providers to ensure a safer return to activity for our patients.

**General Statement of Duties**

The duties of the SSN athletic trainer include the roles outlined in the Board of Certification, Inc. Practice Analysis, 7th Edition, as well as other duties consistent with fulfillment of the NHMI/SSN mission.

**Classification**:Full-time, exempt

**Experience and Education**
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in athletic training

**Qualifications and Key Skills**
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure by the State of NH
- Board of Certification (BOC) certified
- Maintenance of current health care provider/professional rescuer CPR & AED certification
- Highly communicative and cooperative style with a sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including patients and families, school officials, staff, board members, and other supporters
- Strong track record as an advocate and implementer of youth sports safety initiatives and best practices
- Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to influence others to “care about the cause”
- High energy, maturity, enthusiasm, and leadership qualities
- Self-starter, able to work independently with strong computer, time management, and organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Team player mentality
- Multi-lingual preferred, but not required
- Personal professional liability insurance encouraged

**Specific Duties**
- Collaborate with SSN Program Director to implement SSN program infrastructure with fidelity.
- Comply with SSN Athletic Training Program Coverage Policy for varsity and sub-varsity high school athletic events.
- Maintain high-quality electronic health records on all injuries, relevant illnesses, prevention, rehabilitation procedures, and communications.
- Comply with all policies regarding athletic health care delivery as outlined in the SSN Athletic Training Program Policies and Procedures Manual and standing orders.
- Comply with standing orders and execute treatment plans as directed by supervising and community physician(s), and other local health care providers.
- Perform other duties not specifically stated herein but essential to the total team concept of athletic health care and non-profit operations.
