The Out for Health LGBTQI+ Program Manager manages the NYSDOH AIDS Institute grant that focuses on the LGBTQI+ community in Region 2 and supervises both the LGBTQI+ Navigator(s) and the LGBTQI+ Outreach and Engagement Coordinator under the grant. This person also supervises the LGBT Community Health Promoter in Region 3 and oversees the LGBTQI+ outreach known as PPGNY’s Out for Health (OFH) Program across both regions of the affiliate.

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Program Oversight (60%)**
- Manage the LGBTQI+ AIDS Institute grant deliverables across all counties in the catchment area
- Hire, train and supervise program staff
- Ensure all Salesforce reports are completed accurately and submitted to PPGNY’s Research and Evaluation department in a timely manner
- Produce monthly AIRS reports (paper and electronic) as required by NYSDOH and according to grant timelines
- Support staff in accessing and documenting work in AIRS and on SharePoint Excel spreadsheet
- Assist newly trained staff to begin insurance enrollment with clients
- Oversee weekly Out for Health team meetings
- Facilitate monthly LGBT Workgroup meetings with a goal to improve the experiences of LGBTQI+ clients and staff at PPGNY

**Training (35%)**
- In collaboration with LGBTQI+ Outreach staff, develop and provide training to external agencies on a variety of topics to improve the overall well being of LGBTQI+ persons in local communities
- Develop training on LGBTQI+ access to health care and implement internally with PPGNY staff across all departments
- Assist programs staff in obtaining training to provide Affordable Care Act (ACA) enrollment to patients as needed

**Clinical Operations (5%)**
- Act as resource for LGBTQI+ related questions or issues for PPGNY staff

**Subject Matter Knowledge**
- Knowledge of the barriers faced by LGBT persons in accessing health care and other human services as well as an understanding of social determinants of health
- Understanding of the full range of services provided by PPGNY and how clients can access these services
- Strong knowledge of local, regional and national resources for the LGBTQI+ community
- Thorough knowledge of processes to assist clients in signing up for public health insurances

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 5 years’ experience working with members of the LGBTQI+ community in a human services role
- Familiarity with the LGBTQI+ community’s challenges and needs

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrated ability as a leader to establish and maintain successful working relationships with others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience providing professional trainings
