**About The Pleasure Chest**:
**Overview**:
The Store Manager is a member of the Pleasure Chest’s management team. The position’s focus is to serve as the leader of the Pleasure Chest’s Upper East Side store in NY: directly oversee store operations and supervise staff, including benefits administration and store-level HR, drive sales, implement and model TPC’s customer service and product knowledge standards with a hands on approach, manage the store's inventory, and engage the local community through outside events, and partnerships. The Pleasure Chest Store Manager will focus on core deliverables in the following areas; store operations, sales, customer service standards, policy administration and staff supervision and development. The Store Manager must possess strong communication skills and be able to work with the company’s remote national management team executing nation-wide projects on the store level.

Other duties include but are not limited to maintaining the store appearance and merchandising standards, weekly orders and receiving, bi-weekly payroll, handling customer complaints, hiring, training and scheduling staff, facility maintenance, weekly banking, sales initiatives, company policy administration, yearly performance reviews, and reporting to the Head of Business Operations, Director of Purchasing and or Owner.

**Customer Service**

**Store Upkeep and Floor Operations**

The Manager is expected to consistently maintain the store’s appearance by seeking out and identifying store upkeep projects and tasks, and delegating appropriately to staff. The Manager will maintain a critical eye on the floor, with special attention to merchandising, cleanliness, displays, lighting, stock levels and sales. Managers will execute monthly merchandising tasks and report directly to the national purchasing department on merchandising maps, maintaining end cap standards and special merchandising projects.

The Manager is expected to be able to take lead in running floor operations, always with the customer experience in mind. In addition, the Manager will actively participate in floor operations: “break” staff for lunches, make change for registers, and assign special projects, i.e. merchandising, purchasing, cleaning, new product selection, events, etc.

**Backroom Operations**

The Manager may be expected to oversee operational duties such as weekly orders, receiving, store scheduling, workshop scheduling, handling donations/outreach, monthly outreach, education program, or accounting reporting, and/or weekly banking.

**Team Building**
This position acts as a leader of the team, multitasking and managing projects with mínimal supervision, as well as, delegating appropriately to staff. The Manager will foster healthy interpersonal relationships amongst staff by communicating clearly, resolving conflicts effectively and in a timely manner. They will be dedicated to fostering collaboration amongst staff and develop individuals by identifying and growing each person’s individual skill set.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Flexible schedule (nights and weekends a must)
- Highly meticulous with stellar organizational skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently complete projects independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Enthusiastic and sex-positive
- Customer service experience required
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Experience with Eagle a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs

**Schedule and Additional Pay**

Managers are required to work a full time (4 shift/week, up to 10hr shifts) schedule including night and weekend shifts. All manager positions at the Pleasure Chest are sales focused. Managers are eligible for vendor payout bonuses offered by the manufactures and/or the Company. This position is paid $23.00 - $25.00/hourly.

Pleasure Chest offers medical benefits to full-time staff as well as PTO.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
