**Responsibilities**:
 Assist with answering phones in a friendly and professional manner, scheduling
patient appointments and collecting payments
 Verify patient insurance eligibility, network status, and benefits
 Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
 Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT) to diagnoses and procedures
 Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
 Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff to ensure proper documentation and
billing practices
 Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in medical coding and billing practices
 Record patient and insurance payments and update patient balances
 Ensure that claims, denials, rejections, and appeals are efficiently processed.
 Post payments and Review Explanation of Benefits
 Generate monthly A/R reports and generate patient statements
 Address patient and insurance inquiries related to billing.
 Resolve insurance claim rejections and denials

**Requirements**:
 3+ Years of medical billing and coding experience
 Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
 Understanding of patient accounts and balances
 In-depth understanding of health insurance benefits, claims, and payments
 Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
 Willingness to learn

Compensation competitive and based on experience

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
