Medical Biller

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- working closely with the owner.
- Review and verify the accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- E-Bill invoices to insurance companies
- Post accounts receivables from various payment methods (checks, credit cards, insurance checks/ EFTs).
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries regarding fees, testing, and services.
- Proficient in billing procedures for all types of insurance.
- Credential doctors with insurance companies and knowledgeable in Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
- Knowledgeable about insurance copays, deductibles, and other related terms.
- Proficient in using Adobe and PDF for document management.
- Conduct insurance verifications via phone or electronically
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit as necessary
- Strong problem-solving skills to find creative solutions in medical billing.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and send patient statements for outstanding balances
- Keep in the know of current changes in medical coding and billing regulations and fee shculdes.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Billing
- Strong problem-solving skills to find creative solutions in medical billing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
