**Duties**:
Led by the Assistant Director of National Intelligence (ADNI) for Science & Technology (S&T), ODNI's Science & Technology Office works closely with IC partners, the White House, and Congress to advance the IC's science and technology capabilities by coordinating Community investments, leading the development of policies on AI and other emerging technologies, and brokering key partnerships across government, academia, and industry to drive innovation.

Our Office champions IC S&T resources to enable effective and efficient execution of the IC S&T mission; leads and supports Community efforts to recruit and develop an increasingly agile, effective, and diverse IC S&T workforce; develops and sustains collaborative relationships with traditional and non-traditional industry partners to close intelligence gaps and improve IC capabilities and capacity; and finds, creates, and deploys scientific discoveries and new technologies. The ADNI for S&T is seeking an officer with the right skills and experience to perform the following:
Exercises technical and administrative supervision over a team of administrative personnel responsible for the planning and management of highly complex administrative support functions.

Exercises responsibility and authority for planning and managing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the office operations and communicating the strategic plan, mission, vision, and values to employees within the directorate(s).

Oversees, administers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates the efforts of administrative operational areas to identify specific requirements and to plan and schedule for actions needed to meet those requirements.

Redirects resources as the emphasis of the overall program changes.

Personally, serves as, or designates a subordinate to serve, as a representative or team lead in working groups to plan and develop administrative management strategies.

Ensures subordinate staff conducts activities in their areas of responsibility in accordance with current issuances.

Participates in briefings and meetings.

Keeps abreast of new policies, procedures, regulations, directives and develops, recommends and issues adequate instructions to subordinate elements for proper implementation.

Coordinates, monitors, and evaluates activities concerning administrative issues.

Interacts and collaborates with a variety of personnel to make decisions on administrative issues. Initiates and ensures effective communication, coordination and follow-up actions with subordinate elements.

Briefs, liaises with, and coordinates requirements or actions with counterparts at other IC agencies, the National Security Council, White House staff offices, and other USG organizations.

Performs other duties, as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen residing in the United States
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI)
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- A two-year trial period is required for all new permanent appointments to the ODNI.

**Salary Determination**:
The ODNI uses a rank-in-person system in which rank is attached to GS employees on the basis of individual qualifications, experience, and performance.
Individuals whose current GS grade is equivalent to the grade of the advertised position will retain their current grade and step.
Individuals who transfer to the ODNI from a non-GS pay scale will have base pay converted to the appropriate GS grade and step as determined by the Director/ Human Resource Management.

**Relocation Expenses**: For new ODNI employees, reimbursement for relocation is discretionary based on availability of funds.
