**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Conduct an initial assessment of a pilot’s injury or illness in order to provide emergency or

continued care, and to determine whether they should be referred to physicians for

definitive diagnosis and treatment.
- Care for injuries using physical therapy equipment, techniques, and medication’.
- Evaluate pilot’s readiness to return to training, and provide participation clearances when

necessary and warranted.

- Organize and establish general rules of conduct for the training room facility
- Recommend any changes to the leadership in regard to athletic training supplies and

equipment used
- Keep accurate records of all injuries, methods of treatment, rehabilitation, and medical

releases. In the course of normal operations, provide relevant information to medical staff

to support the pilots’ medical needs.
- Keep leadership informed of all treated by the AT staff (as required)
- Provide a weekly summary report to leadership on all treatments and activities conducted,

including all coordination, planning and activities with non-HPSG personnel Qualifications:

Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Athletic Training, Health Profession or Physical Education

- Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including Automated External
