Basketball Coach

Overview:
Walther Christian Academy is looking for a highly qualified and energetic person to be our Head Girls' Varsity Basketball coach. Our team has been one of the most successful small school girls programs in the area over the last two decades, having won 8 IHSA Regional championships, 4 Sectional Championships, and 1 Final Four appearance, but we have struggled to maintain that same level of excellence the last couple of years. The position ideally would be filled with a person having the energy and desire to kickstart a program, experience coaching girls, passion for sharing their Christian faith, and a strong desire to mentor and lead young women to become all they can be. Must have or be willing to get all IHSA required coaching certifications.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in basketball coaching or playing at a competitive level is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire players
- Experience in coaching girls high school basketball is a plus
- All IHSA certifications must be met.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week

Grade levels:

- High school

Schedule:

- After school
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

- Melrose Park, IL 60160 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Melrose Park, IL 60160: Relocate before starting work (required)
