Located in Park Slope Brooklyn, NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Brooklyn and metro New York residents. We offer a wide range of advanced endoscopic techniques such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resections, endoscopic submucosal dissection, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for Barrett's esophagus and stent placements. Over 800 ERCP and EUS procedures are performed at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital annually. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to patients.
**Endoscopy Technician - Endoscopy - Days**
Deliver a safe and patient-focused environment for procedures as an Endoscopy Technician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In this role, you will be a trusted member of the patient care team. You will assist with procedures and provide Nurses and Physicians with key observations. You will play a key role in our Hospital's mission of Putting Patients First. Escort patients to procedures, assist with care planning, maintain and order equipment supplies, and be the driving force for safety. This is a full-time position working 10AM - 8PM at NewYork-Presbyterian Methodist Hospital.
**Preferred Criteria**
- One year experience as an Endoscopy Technician, Gastroenterology (GI) Technician or Assistant
- Previous experience processing instruments and assisting in Endoscopy procedures
- Endoscopy Technician certification
**Required Criteria**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Must be capable of performing tasks that require dexterity, coordination, strength, flexibility, endurance, as inherent in normal assignment
- Superior customer service and excellent communication skills

**Salary Range**:
$27.75-$30.42/Hourly
