DUTIES:
Conduct assessments and ongoing monitoring of residents' nutritional status, offering recommendations to medical staff and crafting comprehensive care plans
- Assess the unique dietary needs of residents, including requirements for nutrition support, prevention of skin breakdown, and management of significant weight concerns
- Oversee meal services for residents to guarantee adherence to prescribed diet modifications
- Educate residents, families, and staff members on principles of nutrition and adjustments to dietary habits.
- Regularly review the effectiveness of dietary care plans to maintain high standards of care
- Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure appropriate provision of mechanically altered diets for residents with dysphagia
- Maintain accurate records of diet orders and menu changes using computerized menu software on a daily basis
- Perform routine audits of relevant areas to ensure the provision of quality nutrition care
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies concerning weight monitoring within the facility
- Facilitate daily communication with the interdisciplinary team to uphold the delivery of quality care to residents

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be a Registered Dietitian
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Sigma and GeriMenu, preferred

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
