**Definition**

The Distribution and Project Manager shall be responsible for all aspects of the field operations of the Company. The Distribution and Project Manager shall report and be accountable to the Company Board of Directors.

**Duties**

Duties include, but are not limited to the operation, maintenance, and repair of the water distribution system pipelines, service connections, and all other equipment used in the production, transmission, and chemical treatment of water supplied for domestic use. Duties also include some office operations, budget preparation, working with computers and other office machines, attending Board meetings, customer contact, collaborate effectively with State and County Regulatory agencies, contractors, and sub-contractors. Schedule and perform routine maintenance on the entirety of the system. May need to remain on call (or collaborate with others) weekends and holidays for emergency calls.

**General Responsibilities**

Serves as staff adviser to the Board of Directors. Directs and manages G.M.M.W.C. owned and operated properties within the framework of the company bylaws, policies, plans, and budget. Operation, maintenance, and repair of the production and distribution system and in accordance with the requirements and guidelines of the State of California as specified in the Safe Drinking Water Act Title 17 and Title 22.

1. Interprets, analyzes, and implements all requirements of State and County specified guidelines.

2. Advises the G.M.M.W.C. Board of Directors as to the impact of any and all State and County requirements that affect the G.M.M.W.C.

3. Obtains, releases, and directs any and all personnel, vendors, and contractors needed to assist in the maintenance of the G.M.M.W.C. water system.

4. Obtains bids from outside services as required to upgrade, maintain, and repair and presents such bids to the G.M.M.W.C. Board of Directors for their consideration and approval.

5. Oversees all work performed by outside services to ensure compliance with any and all approved contracts.

6. Maintains effective operation of all capital equipment.

7. Operation, management, and implementation of all aspects of the field operations of the G.M.M.W.C.

8. Establishes budgets for operational and capital requirements.

9. Attends meetings and or presentations given by the State, County, and other outside organizations

as required to operate the company in a fully compliant manner.

10. Manages compliance with all State and County Regulatory agencies.

11. Work with others to prepares and distribute all necessary reports and forms as required by the State and County.

12. Oversees all work performed by outside services with respect to field operations and water distribution.

13. Maintains a good working rapport with the community.

14. On call at agreed upon times for any water company emergency.

15. 60 hours per month on average.

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of hand and power tools, plumbing, water works practices, and supplies.
- Six years full time experience in water distribution system maintenance, operation, repair, construction, and water treatment.
- Grade I Water Distribution System Operator Certification issued by the California State Water Resource Control Board.
- Computerized data entry and experience in office procedures.
- Excellent customer relations, and communications skills required. Must be able to trouble shoot and solve problems effectively, be extremely reliable, work independently, and supervise.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools required to maintain a large water system.
- Working knowledge of all equipment including computer systems and business software.
- Maintain Grade D1 Distribution Operator Certification and Grade 1 Treatment Operator Certification.
- Provide own vehicle as required to perform all employment-related tasks.
- Maintain a valid Class C California Driver’s License.

**Training and Experience**

Any combination of training and experience which could likely provide the required knowledge

and abilities is qualifying.

**Special Requirements**

A valid California Driver’s License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles,

and a current copy of DMV driving record (3 years).

Approximately 30 minute response time to Angelus Oaks should an emergency arise.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
