Job Title: Quality Specialist - QC/QA

Industry: Biotech/Biopharmaceuticals

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $28-$38/hr + Benefits: Med/Den/Vis, 401k


Job Description:

  • Under general supervision, this position will perform routine sampling and testing in a GMP Manufacturing facility in support of the Microbiology and Environmental Monitoring group
  • Assist with environmental monitoring performance qualifications and execute routine sample collection for environmental monitoring in classified areas
  • Assist with clean utilities performance qualifications, including water for injection, clean steam, clean compressed air, oxygen, and carbon dioxide distribution systems
  • Execute sample collection for routine utilities monitoring
  • Assist with general lab startup activities and perform routine tasks such as cleaning and inventory management
  • Create or revise laboratory Standard Operating Procedures or other applicable laboratory focused documentation to support QC and PD during commissioning and startup
  • Support the start-up, maintenance, qualification and general operation of specialized
  • instrumentation


Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in science related field
  • 2-5 yrs experience in Biotech or Pharma Lab Quality
  • Desired skill sets include: Biochemical, Microbiological, Environmental Monitoring, Equipment Calibrations, Aseptic Technique, GDP/GLP proficiency, Lab Data Entry
