Warehouse Assistant

Title: Warehouse Assistant (9am - 5pm)
Shacksbury is looking for a full-time Warehouse Assistant. This individual reports to the warehouse manager and is responsible for filling orders and will assist in cleaning and organizing the warehouse. They will regularly be asked to help on the production line folding boxes or palletizing finished goods. They will be asked to operate a forklift for several hours in a normal day. We have an in-house trainer, so no prior forklift experience is required. This is a physical job that requires moving 20lb packages for large portions of the day.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Pick and pack orders
- Load and unload trucks
- Warehouse organization
- Warehouse cleaning
- Basic clerical work (e.g. updating piece counts on pallet IDs)
- Basic assembly tasks
- May require weekend and/or evening work
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Punctual and reliable
- Positive attitude
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Works calmly under pressure
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time and walk; use fingers, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, twist, bend and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift or carry up to 60 pounds and manipulate and/or move up to 155 pounds with assistance from another team member. Use of arms above the shoulder is sometimes required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires manual dexterity and ability to quickly move hand(s), hand with arm, grasp, manipulate or assemble. The employee operates a motor vehicle/forklift.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The warehouse is heated and air conditioned.
**COMPENSATION**:Full time / hourly / PTO
- $16-$18/hr commensurate with experience
- Health Insurance with 100% paid premium
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
