**Summary**

Join our Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) to help make shipboard life and habitability safe for our sailors For over a century, HII has built and maintained the U.S. Navy's most powerful warships. Join us as we continue to maintain the Navy's readiness. Acting as the Ships Coordinator this position is responsible for planning, preparing and maintenance scheduling for day-to-day work onboard U.S Navy Aircraft Carrier's HM&E engineering systems.
- Must have a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Badge or Common Access Card(CAC) to start.

**What You Will Do**
- Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

**What You Must Have**
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must have experience working in a shipyard environment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with both management and the Team in the day to day operations of the project.

**Preferred: Bonus Points For**
- Strong communication skills and experience with planning and network scheduling techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office and other software with experience with Naval shipbuilding and maintenance processes and procedures are preferred.
- Experience with Navy's Maintenance, Material, Management (3M) supply system a plus.
- Working familiarity and general knowledge of quality assurance program practices and principles.
- Prior experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings.

**Physical Requirements**

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
