Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental software systems
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification in dental radiography
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental coding systems, and insurance processes
- Proficiency in infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or CAD is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
