**Job Title**: Summer Camp Youth Dance Instructor

**Location**: Montgomery Sports Association Camp, Potomac, MD

**Dates**: June 15 - August 9, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM

Montgomery Sports Association is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Dance Instructor for our summer camp in Potomac, MD. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate young campers, ages 5-10, in various dance styles. You will be responsible for teaching routines that campers will perform at the end of each week. Instructors main role is the be a positive role models to the dancers and create a fun themed dance each week to be choreographed and performed to the entire camp

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and lead engaging dance lessons in a variety of styles
- Create and teach dance routines to be performed at weekly dance showcase each Friday Afternoon
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all campers feel confident and motivated
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of campers with varying skill levels
- Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during dance activities
- Choreograph easy to learn and fun routines
- Each Friday prepare the dancers hair, make up and costumes for Friday Performances

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience teaching dance to children or in a camp setting
- Strong background in various dance styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a fun and supportive learning environment
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children
