**What We’re Looking For**:
Rock Creek Foundation is seeking a** Full-time Day Program Counselor **to join our team in Silver Spring, MD As a Life Coach, you will be responsible for supporting people with disabilities achieve personal goals, as well as find meaningful work to increase their independence and social interconnectedness.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Counsels’ individuals, assisting them to identify and resolve problems and make effective use of resources.
- Helps individuals understand mental illness and how it affects their health and lifestyle.
- Encourages individuals to do things for themselves to retain feelings of independence and self-esteem.
- Arrange necessary training and therapy to help clients meet their goals.
- Strives to place individuals in gainful employment after acquisition of marketable skills.
- Assist the individual in resolving work related problems or difficulties.
- Provide hands-on vocational training to advance clients' work skills.
- Maintains working relationships with staff of other agencies and institutions, homes, and facilities, and acts as liaison between clients and agency or institution.
- Prepares and maintains written case records, reports, and forms, performs case follow-up and closing, and performs other administrative tasks as required.

**What We Require**:

- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with Adults diagnosed with varying mental health and intellectual disabilities.
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software
- Must be able to work with “high-risk” consumers who have mental illnesses as well as developmental and physical disabilities.
