**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Bureau Director of Facilities Management Group 4 (FMG-4) has responsibility and decision-making authority for the operational management, budget, and staff supervision of FMG-4’s diverse and complex functions. This position manages and supervises a staff of professional and skilled employes in providing operational, technical and consultation in the planning, design, construction, remodeling and maintenance of Department of Administration owned facilities. Buildings in FMG-4 include but are not limited to the GEF Complex, State Archive Preservation Facility, and Tommy G. Thompson Center. This position also manages the staff and operations of the Division’s Capitol Heat and Power Plant. This individual is responsible for the development and management of various power plant construction projects from the planning, design, installation, and final inspection.

**Salary Information**:
This position is in schedule-range (81-02) with an annual salary between $89,440 and $105,726.40 plus excellent benefits. A 2 year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

**Job Details**:
Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. **DOA does not sponsor work visas. **All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

**Qualifications**:
Qualified applicants will have training or experience in the following:

- Managing large, complex or multiple facilities (e.g. monitoring and auditing operations, programs, and management directives, or similar)
- Leading a team and/or supervising employees (e.g., hiring, directing the work of other employees, providing performance goals and standards, scheduling, training, counseling employees, etc.)
- Identifying, developing, and managing projects (e.g. construction, remodeling, technical, maintenance, capital improvement, etc.)

In addition, well qualified applicants may have experience in the following:

- Managing a power plant or similar industrial facility
- Policy development and implementation (e.g. implementing program policies, rules, regulations, or similar)
- Budget management (e.g. developing a budget, reviewing financial transactions, overseeing payments, or similar)
