Meat Counter Clerk

Reporting to the Store Manager & Owners, the meat clerks provide exceptional service and quality products for our customers.

Physical Requirements:
Lifting/carrying 10 to 40 lbs., reaching, turning, equipment operation (pallet jack, box cutter, meat slicer, scales, racks), walking, standing, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Willing to be Trained & Learn
- Provide excellent, friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
- Set and maintain meat and poultry cases and displays ensuring proper product rotation.
- Understand the proper ways to weigh and wrap the product and attach the proper label
- Maintain a clean and safe department
- Break down and clean equipment (using water & chemicals), clean the display cases, and dispose of product that is no longer in good condition
- Stocks, rotates and faces products
- Ensures meat cases are full and neat with all items are correctly priced
- Assists with special customer orders
- Answers incoming phone calls

This person assists customers in the store by:

- Escorting them to products they are looking for
- Assisting with products
- Offering product and/or recipe suggestions and recommendations
- Responding to customers’ questions and requests in a timely manner
