Groomer & Equipment Operator

**Job Overview**:
The overall goal of the Groomer and Equipment Operator shall be to ensure high-quality and safe skiable terrain. Communication with management and team is essential to providing the best value to our customers. Operators must ensure that assets within the grooming fleet are maintained and kept in clean and good working order. This year-round employee will be asked to assist in equipment operation and resort-wide maintenance. It is essential to ensure that assets within the equipment fleet are maintained and kept in clean and good working order. Groomers will be asked to help wherever necessary in aid of the common goal to exceed customers’ expectations and to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

**The specific duties of a Groomer and Equipment Operator shall include but not be limited to**:

- Grooming and maintenance of all skiable terrain
- Ongoing training of groomer equipment operation
- Entering grooming records in orderly fashion
- Maintain and facilitate equipment cleanliness
- Assistance in preventative maintenance of grooming and equipment fleet (i.e. greasing, daily checklists, etc.
- Communicate directly through work orders with fleet mechanics and manager
- Facilitate slope maintenance at manager’s discretion (i.e. tree trimming, padding, etc.)
- Communicate with grooming manager, snowmaking manager, terrain park manager, lifts operations manager, risk manager, and mountain manager as to all skiable terrain concerns and plans of action
- Off-season duties include but are not limited to assisting with equipment operation, snowmaking maintenance, and slope maintenance
- Will not be limited to specific duties within this description and assist wherever grooming manager sees fit

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of grooming and/or heavy equipment operating experience
- Minimum of 2 years laborer experience or equivalent experience
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to safely climb in, out, and around all equipment
- Must have valid driver’s license

**Preferred Skills**:
Heavy equipment operation. General heavy equipment maintenance. Hand and power tool experience.

- **Hiring for night shifts**_

**Job Type**: Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
